Compare samples in the setting

Look at the home’s exterior, planting and adjoining surfaces when choosing a stone color. Review more than one piece where possible: natural variation is part of the material, and a single photograph cannot represent every paver.

Choose a layout for everyday use

For a walkway, consider the route, entrances, transitions and how people will move through the space. Lighting and planting can complement the stone, but leave practical room for circulation and maintenance.

Confirm available sizes before committing to a pattern. The selected stone’s sizes and finish determine the options; a pattern available in another material may not transfer directly.

Discuss installation and exposure

Ask your installer to review support, drainage, joints and transitions for the proposed application. For wet or barefoot areas, evaluate the actual finish and conditions rather than assuming every marble surface performs alike.

Plan compatible care

For routine care, follow the stone and cleaner supplier’s directions. Avoid acidic cleaners on marble, clean spills promptly and test a compatible product in a small area before broader use.
