Universal Hardscape Warranty Terms & Conditions

Claim submission

To submit a claim, contact Universal Hardscapes by one of two ways:

Email our customer service @ info@universalhardscapes.com or call 813-884-0010. Claims must be submitted promptly after discovery. If, after inspection, a valid claim exists, Universal Hardscapes will replace the product in question. Universal Hardscapes may substitute products if the originally installed product is not available.

Replacement and use

Replacement of a product does not renew the warranty period. This warranty assumes normal and reasonable use of products.

Damage outside Universal Hardscapes’ control

This warranty does not cover any damage caused by occurrences beyond the control of Universal Hardscapes, including, but not limited to, overloading, impact, abrasion, commercial use, improper or insufficient maintenance, corrosion due to atmospheric contamination, poor soil, tree roots, changes in the water table, water main breaks, rips or tears in turf, burning or melting of turf (including from direct sunlight or reflections of sunlight), the surface temperature of turf, hard water deposits, or other watermarks on turf, mottling of pool plaster, scratching or scuffing of pavers, lack of traction on or slipperiness of joint sand stabilizers, or efflorescence in pavers and stonework.

Insects and animals

This warranty does not cover any damage caused by insects or animals, including, but not necessarily limited to, burrowing underneath surfaces and/or chewing through turf.

Tampering

Tampering with any products by anyone other than Universal Hardscapes or Installer voids this warranty.

Express and implied warranties

This warranty is the only express warranty provided by Universal Hardscapes. Universal Hardscapes HEREBY EXCLUDES AND DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BY WAY OF ILLUSTRATION AND NOT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, HABITABILITY, AND MERCHANTABILITY. THE LIMITED WARRANTIES CONTAINED HEREIN SHALL BE IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTY, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

Incidental and consequential damages

services rendered under the sales contract. In no event will Universal Hardscapes be obligated or liable for incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages of any kind for the breach of any express or implied warranty.

AMENDMENTS

• A) Warranty is voided if alterations or changes are made to the Universal Hardscapes by anyone else other than the authorized installer.
• (B) Universal Hardscapes warranty does not cover naturally occurring efflorescence of pavers, stains, or any damage due to uncontrollable circumstances.
• (C) Warranty is void if high-pressure water is used to clean the surface or joint lines of the pavers.
• (D) Additional joint sand is not covered by the warranty.
• (E) Warranty is void if new excavation, digging, or soil removal occurs within 4 feet of the finished paver system.
• (F) Tree roots from existing trees can damage the interlocking paver system. We do not offer a warranty to protect the paver system from damage or lifting caused by existing tree roots.
• (G) Natural occurrences and acts of God are not covered by the warranty.
• (H) Shifted or sunken pavers due to improper use such as vehicles or lawnmowers driving on or off the edges are not covered under the warranty.
• (I) Warranty does not include dusting or pitting less than a quarter-size dimension.
• (J) Warranty will be held valid for one year from the date of purchase.
• Once installed Universal Hardscapes product are considered accepted in terms of surface texture, shape size, color/color blending and all other aesthetic features.
• (k) Universal will cover cost of installation not to exceed $2.50 per square foot.
• Rust spot from Pyrite(iron sulfide ), which is a common mineral present in sedimentary rocks, such as screening, including those used to manufacture pavers are not covered under warranty.
• All paver deliveries are made curb side(between side walk and road)
• Important: WARRANTY IS CONSIDERED VOIDED IF SEALED.
• Contractor is held responsible for damages (whitening, staining, sand under sealer, etc.) caused by failure of previous coatings or sealers, substrate (base material), or damage caused by customer abuse or neglect.
