Referencing details on project drawings
The project design professional should identify the applicable CMHA publication, edition and detail number in the construction documents, together with the project-specific specification. Referencing this directory alone does not provide a complete installation detail. Do not label CMHA documents as Universal's manufacturer installation details.
Confirm intended use, traffic loads, site soils, drainage, base and bedding design, edge restraints, joints and local requirements with the responsible project professional. These references do not establish suitability of every Universal product for every application.
Choose guidance for the correct product
Concrete paver guidance must not be applied automatically to natural stone, coping, paving slabs, permeable systems or masonry walls. CMU product drawings show dimensions; they do not specify reinforcement, foundations, structural capacity or fire ratings.
